Today, we're introducing an automated material handling and receiving system. The customer's transported item is packaged edamame. This design involves filling empty baskets with packaged edamame, stacking the filled baskets to the required storage and transport height, and then having personnel automatically move them away. This saves a lot of manpower and improves efficiency.
Next, let me explain the function of each station in detail. The first station is for basket feeding. All empty baskets are placed on the powered roller table and transported one by one to the end. At the end, a cylinder limits the baskets to prevent them from going too far, and a sensor detects when the baskets are in place and slows down to stop. Once the baskets are confirmed to be in place, feeding and counting will begin.(The number of bags needed per basket can be set by the customer.)After counting is completed, the hopper will close for temporary storage, and at the same time the blocking cylinder will descend, and the material basket will then proceed to the second station for conveying.
The second stage is the basket stacking stage. At the end, there are also cylinders to limit the baskets from going too far, and sensors detect when they are detected and decelerate to a stop. The main difference is an additional set of cylinders used to clamp and stack the baskets. The stacking height can be set by the customer; however, it is crucial not to stack them too high.&Being overweight would raise safety concerns.&Once the structural damage accumulates to a set number of baskets, the blocking cylinder will descend, and the load will be transported to the next station.
The third station is the finished product discharge basket. When the basket is filled to the number of layers set by the customer, it will stop when it is sent to the third station and the end sensor will be activated. Then it will slowly descend to the lowest point to wait for manual removal. After removal, it will return to its original position. If the basket is not removed by personnel within the specified time, it will be considered abnormal and the machine will be stopped.
