This time, a modular chain was chosen, with a jig plate locked to the side of the chain. This allows the conveyor to place the item on the jig plate and move along the chain track. A robotic arm is also attached to the conveyor; when a photoelectric sensor illuminates the item, a signal is sent to the arm to instruct it to pick it up.
