In the era of automation, upgrading production lines to automation requires the combination of various different automated equipment.
This time, we collaborated with our ultrasonic cutter client to design an automated stainless steel belt flat conveyor system for cutting cakes. The operator places a whole cake tray at the front of the conveyor belt, which then transports the cake. Before entering the middle section of the conveyor, sensors detect the cake's temperature. Once the temperature is confirmed to be within acceptable limits, the cake tray is conveyed to the designated processing point. Four cylinders then perform a secondary positioning of the cake tray, after which the ultrasonic cutter cuts the cake into the specified size, and the conveyor belt returns the cake tray to its final position.
A cleaning trough is also designed on the side of the arm for cleaning the ultrasonic knife. This operating mode only requires personnel to feed and pick up materials at the front and back of the stainless steel belt conveyor, which not only reduces the defect rate caused by manually cutting cakes, but also makes the entire production line smoother.
